Link Himalaya's Emerging Partnership and Potential Impact

Founded by two Tibetan brothers in the United States, Sean Dorje and William Namgyal, Link Himalaya's vision is to raise funds, provide academic resources, and facilitate socioeconomic wellbeing for Tibetan refugee students in Nepal. This organization started from months of grassroots campaigning and activism to garner support for the initiation of operations in Nepal.

In the organization-focused area of Khanbari, Nepal, many Tibetan refugee children have been sent to children homes amidst family financial hardship, passing, or disaster. With limited resources and shabby, crowded living spaces, these children often face hopelessness and a social disconnect at such a young, vulnerable, and developing age. Once children age out of the children home, they are left on their own to either pursue higher education or find work in which they have little savings or a safety net to fall upon for assistance.
