Link Himalaya's Summer Trip to Kathmandu and Khandbari

This summer, we took a 16 hour flight to the antipodes of the world of Nepal where thousands of Tibetan Refugees have fled to in the past decades. Read more about our impact and mission down below as we interact with intelligent, compassionate, and motivated Tibetan youth striving for success and a relationship with Christ.

Volleyball Summer Program (2023)

We hosted a 2 week long locally hosted volleyball camp in Fremont, California. We successfully were able to raise $1500, sending them to our connections in Nepal who had suffered from a recent devastating mudslide.

$300 were also given to one of the Tibetan students for his plane ticket to Korea, pursuing a higher education.

Living Stone School

$3,000 in funds were raised to support Living Stone School in Khandbari, Nepal, thanks to Shirley Fan.

Mr. Phurpu and Action International

We had the honor of working with Mr. Phurpu, the Chairman of the Reaching Himalayas Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping Tibetans in the Himalayas.

Tibetan Youth in Kathmandu

In Kathmandu, we met with a group of youth, many of which were from the children's home in Khandbari. A lot of them were not financially supported well and had poor living conditions, so we raised $20,000 to build a new shelter for them. Most did not have access to a computer, so we donated laptops and school supplies.

Children's Home in Khandbari

We visited Khandbari, a town in the East of Nepal. We visited a children's home there, where 20 children ages ranging from 5-16 were living. Many had been sent by paernts due to financial struggles. We donated backpacks, stationery, books, and raincoats.
